End of Year Reward Day
Each year, as part of South Thornlie Primary School’s Good Standing Process, students who maintain their Good Standing satisfactorily throughout the year have an opportunity to participate in an end of year reward.
On Friday, 22 November 2024, students in Kindy – Year 6 are invited to watch Al Kazam the Magic Man. He will be performing a variety of magic tricks to celebrate our students maintaining their good standing throughout the year. This is an interactive experience where he gets students to participate throughout the show.
Kindy A Group Students
As this event does not fall on your child’s usual day of attendance, students are invited to attend provided that a parent/caregiver accompanies them to the performance. You will have duty of care of your child and must remain with them during the event. The kindy session time is 9.30-10.30am. Please arrive at the Arts Centre by 9.25am on the day with your child.
Good Standing Reward Day
This is our end of year Good Standing activity which means that any student who has lost their Good Standing or has been suspended three or more times throughout the year will not be able to participate.
All students not involved in this event will be supervised by staff and have an educational program provided.
What is Good Standing?
The Good Standing strategy is part of our school’s Behaviour Management Policy and is one of the ways South Thornlie encourages our students to consistently demonstrate respect for the values and rules at our school.
Students with Good Standing status are eligible to participate in a wide range of identified Good Standing activities and roles. When an activity is classified as a Good Standing event, this will be clearly conveyed in all notes and communications to parents and caregivers.
The full Good Standing process can be found on the school website if you require further information at www.souththornlieps.wa.edu.au.
Signed permission is not required, however, should you wish for your child not to participate, please advise the office in writing or email souththornlie.ps@education.wa.edu.au by Wednesday, 20 November 2024
