Year 6 Graduation Information
Graduation Ceremony – Tuesday, 10 December 2024
On Tuesday, 10 December 2024, the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony will be held in the Arts Centre. The ceremony will commence at 8:40am, however, we ask families to arrive by 8:30am to ensure we start on time. This is a formal graduation ceremony and family members are invited to attend. The ceremony is expected to conclude at approximately 10am.
Year 6 students are required to wear a South Thornlie PS polo shirt (not their leavers shirt) for the ceremony. We ask that all students bring their South Thornlie PS shirt on a coat hanger to class on Friday, 6 December 2024. This will ensure we have time to pin a sash onto their shirt ready for the ceremony.
Before school on the day of the Graduation Ceremony, students are asked to wear their Leavers shirt to school. They will then change into their South Thornlie PS polo shirt once they have arrived at their classroom. We ask students to be at their classroom by 8:15am to ensure they have enough time to change their shirt and prepare for the ceremony.
If you have an additional polo shirt that you are happy to lend for the event for another student to borrow, please also bring this polo shirt in (with a hanger if possible). Please ensure it is labelled with your child’s name and the shirt will be returned after the event.
